With video: Tech Bond Update

Last year, Ann Arbor citizens approved the Tech Bond Millage, which included $45.85 million to be spent over a ten-year period on computers, technology and infrastructure.

District staff were busy this summer putting the Tech Bond money to work, adding upgrades and new equipment to the schools. This fall, students have faster wireless access, new responsive SmartBoards in their classrooms and brand-new computers in all of the building computer labs.

The staff in the Information Technology Department organized, prepared and distributed the hundreds of new computers this summer so that students could use them this fall. Take a look at how it all worked in the video below, made by Kathy Houser, to see the preparations in action!

  1. We have an amazing Technology Department. You are the people behind the scenes solving problems on a daily basis and teachers can not do what they do without you! Kudos to our tech staff!
