Two minutes at: Wines Elementary

Editor’s Note: This is one in a series of two-minute videos offering a quick glimpse into one of AAPS’ 32 schools. At AAPS, our vision is: Every Child. Every Day. Every one fully sees, values, and celebrates each child for exactly who they are, the gifts and strengths they bring to this world.

When Wines Elementary opened in 1957, it was known then as the Levi D. Wines School in honor of the longtime educator. There are 392 students in grades Young 5’s through fifth. Wines Elementary was just named one of the top K-8 schools in the state by U.S. News & World Report, which focused on math and reading proficiency based on state assessments from the 2018-19 school year.
