New Principal of Haisley Elementary School announced

Jeanice K. Swift, Superintendent of Schools for the Ann Arbor Public Schools, is pleased to announce the selection of a new Principal of Haisley Elementary School, Robin L. Kocher.

Kocher has most recently served as Interim Principal of Haisley Elementary since October 2022 while concurrently leading as the Principal of A2 Elementary Virtual+ Village. She has a broad base of experience as an elementary administrator in the Ann Arbor Public Schools with her prior role as Principal of Pattengill Elementary and also having worked as a principal in several school districts, including West Bloomfield, Taylor, Plymouth Canton, and Allen Park.  

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.

Superintendent Swift shares: “Considering her experience as a classroom teacher, principal and curriculum leader, her proven success in prior school leadership roles, and this time as an interim leader at Haisley, Ms. Kocher brings a  level of professionalism,  a depth of experience, and fondness for the school that will serve the Haisley community well.”

Kocher writes: “I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work at Haisley this past year.  Haisley is a wonderful community with a caring staff and highly engaged families.  I am delighted to continue working with Haisley students.”
