Logan’s ‘Noodle Dinner’ a delicious success

By Tara Cavanaugh

More than 100 students and their families feasted on food from around the world Thursday night at Logan Elementary.

The school’s annual Noodle Dinner serves as both a fundraiser and community-building event and has taken place for at least ten years, said Jaya Priyadarshine, co-organizer. “We want families to enjoy it, have a nice evening and support Logan,” she said.

The fundraiser benefits Logan’s PTSO, which cooks and serves the food. Local businesses often donate food as well, such as Panda Express, which contributed this year.

One volunteer, Qui Jin Zhao, served her “Pork Leg Soup,” a warm welcome on the chilly November night. The soup took her five hours to make.

“We look forward to this every year,” said Logan Principal Terra Webster. “It’s just an amazing community event.”
