Video: A2 Nature Guardians summer camp concludes two weeks of enriching exploration

The A2 Nature Guardians summer day camp concludes today at the Freeman Environmental Education Center, where campers explored ecology and stewardship principles through place-based activities and games, including habitat enhancement and native plant gardening projects on the 40-acre campus.

Hands-on activities included digging, removing invasive plants, mulching, planting, hiking, a scavenger hunt, creating and playing nature-based board games, designing and painting art installations, and more.

“We are so appreciative of everyone’s interest in this camp and having the space activated during the summer is a big, big benefit for the Freeman Center,” said Coert Ambrosino, who co-directed the camp with Nathan Hatt.
