Austin Shepherd, a sophomore at Huron High School, is featured in a new youtube video skiing the mountains in Telluride, Colorado.

Austin, has participated in all sorts of outdoor adventures, including skiing, with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) for the past nine years.  TASP works with athletes of all abilities including those like Austin who are blind or visually impaired.

The family just happened to be skiing with TASP the second week of winter break when TASP was contacted by the Telluride Ski Resorts Marketing team to recommend a skier with a “different perspective” for a “Discovering Telluride” promotional video for the resort’s website.

The marketing team skied with the family all day and conducted an hour-long interview with Austin to wrap things up.

“They did an incredible job capturing the beauty of Telluride,” says Austin’s mother, Amy.
