Video: Lakewood music students embrace movement during colorful folk dance

Lakewood kindergarteners are having a blast learning folk dance readiness with colorful scarves set to the lively tune of “The Irish Washerwoman.” They’re internalizing the steady beat, exploring the form of the music, and reveling in the colors of the rainbow in this early springtime game, says music teacher Jessica Anderson.  Meanwhile, second graders incorporate a parachute into the same activity, which requires a bit more accuracy and coordination.
