A Southfield performing arts group brought on some serious holiday cheer to the students of Northside Elementary Friday.
The group performed songs, poetry, dances and a rap, making sure to involve the elementary students.
The performing arts group is from Southfield Regional Academic Campus, an alternative school. Darcel Stewart, an English teacher there, leads the group. “We don’t have any kind of performing arts program,” she said. “We formed this to give them an outlet for that creativity.”
Stewart is mother of Raquel Huff, a third grade teacher at Northside.
