It’s back!

The ever-popular Safety Town day camp designed for the Young 5, kindergartener, and first grade student to become “Super Safety Citizens” is underway at Wines Elementary this week—in person.

Every day, Monday through Friday brings new adventures where campers learn how to be safe at home, outside and in their community.  The goal is for every camper will be a true Safety Citizen that knows how to safely have fun at home and in the community.  A combination of live presentations and pre-recorded videos from favorite presenters are used to teach children about important safety measures.

All three one-week sessions are filled for 2021.

Once again, Ann Arbor police officers were on hand to fit and provide campers with bicycle helmets.
Snack time is a pleasant experience at Wines Elementary.
Pedestrian safety will be supplemented by bicycle safety later in the week.
