The Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) has
selected Eve Claar, athletic director at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor as its Region Six Athletic Director of the Year for her outstanding service in the world of Educational Athletics.
Claar is in her 16th year as an athletic director and has been at Pioneer High School since 2012. She also served at Lasher High School and Lincoln High School before moving to Pioneer.
Pioneer High School has one of the largest athletic departments in the state with 37 programs, 100 coaches and over 1,500 student-athletes.
While at Pioneer, along with overseeing the athletic program, Claar was responsible for the development of the school’s intramural program that offers a wide range of activities geared toward improving student achievement.
“She is a strong positive leader who leads by example,” says Lorin Cartwright, Pioneer’s former athletic director. “She is very
deliberate and organized, and maintains a great sense of humor.
The MIAAA is celebrating their 60th year with over 700 members in their association serving as athletic administrators in our junior and senior high schools.
As partners with the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), the MIAAA works to promote the value of educational athletics across the state of Michigan.
Congratulations Eve.
I use to work for Lorrin Cartwright.
Keep up the good work..
