The MSVMA All-State Festival is the highest designation in Michigan, recognizing the top soloists, ensembles, and choirs from across the state
Following their outstanding performances at State Solo & Ensemble this past weekend, several Pioneer Choir large ensembles and one soloist received MSVMA (Michigan School Vocal Music Association) All-State designation. The MSVMA All-State Festival is the highest designation in Michigan, recognizing the top soloists, ensembles, and choirs from across the state.
The Pioneer A Cappella Choir Tenors & Basses were selected as the top large ensemble at State Solo & Ensemble – South Site! They are recognized as one of the top four small ensembles, state-wide, and are automatically selected to perform at the MSVMA All-State Outstanding Solo & Ensemble Recital in East Lansing on Friday, May 10.
Additionally, two other large ensembles from the Pioneer A Cappella Choir, the A Cappella Choir Sopranos & Altos and Choralaires, were selected in the top five large ensembles at State Solo & Ensemble – South Site! Recordings of their performances will be reviewed by a listening panel, alongside the selected top large ensembles from the other three State Solo & Ensemble sites, and considered for performance at the MSVMA All-State Outstanding Solo & Ensemble Recital. The top ten large ensembles, state-wide, will be selected to perform. We anticipate receiving a final determination around April 26.
Eliana Adler ’24 was selected as one of the top four soloists at State Solo & Ensemble – South Site. She is recognized as one of the top 16 soloists, state-wide, and will perform at the MSVMA All-State Outstanding Solo & Ensemble Recital in East Lansing on Friday, May 10.
