Inclement weather forces remote-virtual school day for Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022

Based on the National Weather Service prediction of winter storm conditions in Ann Arbor, beginning Tuesday evening:

Wednesday, Feb. 2 will be a remote-virtual school day due to inclement weather. All in-school, after-school activities, and events are canceled for the day, and all school buildings will be closed.

On Wednesday, students are expected to attend classes remotely according to established daily schedules, and attendance will be taken. As with traditional in-person days, please report student absences to the school office.

If weather impact circumstances (e.g., power, connectivity outages, etc.) in the Ann Arbor Public Schools attendance area prevent the convening of an inclement weather, remote-virtual day, we will announce the transition to an inclement weather, school emergency closure day. As we have in the past, this will be announced through SchoolMessenger, phone calls, media channels, and social media.

We will notify our AAPS community about the status of instructional delivery for Thursday and Friday based on the unfolding impact of the storm; we will share notifications as far in advance as is possible so that students, families, and staff may prepare.
