The Chartwells team turned up the heat at Huron High School today with a Global Eats presentation: sizzling spicy tomato with chicken pasta, served with warm breadsticks, a side of veggies, and a big hearty salad.
Portions were huge, and students who treated themselves to lunchtime in Italy gave positive feedback.
Chartwells Media Director Sandy Short praised Rishonna Patterson, Huron High School Kitchen Manager and a Huron alumni, for making the event a feast for the senses. Patterson oversaw a festive presentation with decorations in the colors of the Italian flag – green, white, and red.
Developed by Chartwells chefs and dietitians with input from students, Global Eats “turns food into a worldly adventure and encourages students to eat together and taste new foods and flavors while learning about different cultures.”
