Ann Arbor High School athletic teams have a healthy rivalry on the fields of competition but I bet you didn’t know the high school staff also meet on the field for a friendly game of football – awarding the winning school staff team bragging rights for the rest of the year!
The rain actually stopped just in time Friday afternoon, October 3, for the Fourth Annual Superintendent’s Cup! The Huron, Pioneer and Skyline staff teams send a “shout out” to Dr. Swift for solving their weather issues in time for the kick off!
In the words of Ricky Bobby from Talledega Nights, second place is first to be LAST! The final tally is as followed:
• Skyline 3-1 ***** – The 2014 victors!
• Pioneer 2-1-1
• Huron 1 Tie-3 losses
According to league manager, Pioneer’s Assistant Principal Kevin Hudson, “I must say that Skyline ‘Turned It Up’ this evening! Skyline’s Mr. Eccleston received a last second pass to seal the deal for Skyline, but just saying, isn’t it cheating to have a former Michigan State University Quarterback playing on your squad?!?! If that’s not a ringer, I don’t know what is?!?!”
Here are your 2014 Superintendents Cup High School Staff Teams!
