Haisley’s annual `I Am Thankful Assembly’ still going strong after 30 years

Haisley’s “I Am Thankful” assembly has been a day-before-Thanksgiving break tradition for 30 years. Fifth and fourth graders and the kindergarteners they are matched with as reading/learning buddies get on stage together and announce what each other is thankful for this year.

Answers ranged from parents to pets and everything in between.  Some kindergarten students practice their lines before the event:
