Grant brings Carma Quartet to Pattengill for workshops, all-school concert

Pattengill Elementary recently won a Michigan Humanities Council Touring Grant which allowed the school to bring in the Peter Madcat Ruth’s C.A.R.Ma. Quartet for morning workshops for third graders plus an afternoon concert for the entire school.

The featured drummer of the quartet was none other than John Churchville, Pattengill’s vocal music teacher, who asked his students to join his quartet on their ukuleles.
