Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation Executive Director Wendy Correll is profiled in a piece this week on AnnArbor.com.
Correll is in the spotlight due to her recent efforts to raise money for the Ann Arbor Public Schools through the foundation’s “One Million Reasons” campaign seeking to raise $1 million in donations – or get pledges to that end – by July 31.
Funds raised can be directed to arts and humanities, math and science, early childhood education, college and career readiness or to be used as foundation officials see fit. AAPSEF officials hope to have the campaign fully funded by Dec. 31.
“It’s time to be bold and aggressive and work on vital projects,” Correll said in her recent interview. “Our $1 million fund-raising goal averages out to $60 per student per year. That doesn’t seem insurmountable.”
