The Eberwhite Elementary first and second graders presented a lively show titled “A Winter Fantasy” Thursday afternoon before schoolmates, staff, and family.
Music teacher Jeffrey Willets said he was very proud of the six- and seven-year-olds, who’ve been working on the musical since October.
He and art teacher Sara George collaborated to create the huge backdrop, with his classes listening to Vivaldi’s “The Seasons,” and the art classes drawing a winter scene. These drawing were placed as an art gallery around the auditorium. Willets then chose one to blow up and turn into a backdrop for the show.
“Parents and kids came in on a Saturday morning and we had a paint party,” he said. “All in all, a terrific experience.”
