Faced with the same bus driver shortage affecting school districts across the country, Ann Arbor Public Schools and Durham School Services will sponsor a job fair to attract more drivers on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We’re doing everything we can to hire more drivers,” says Ed Gallagher, general manager at Durham School Services in Ann Arbor, who noted a large media blitz to get the word out.

Gallagher said the $22.34 per hour pay rate is the highest in the area, and the job includes benefits.

Those who could not attend the career fair are encouraged to contact Cheri Hanrion at chenrion@durhamschoolservices.com or apply at durhamschoolservices.com and type “Ann Arbor” into the location search.
