Clague sixth grader skates her way onto the National Figure Skating Development Team’s juvenile division

Angela Shao captures a second place in national competition to earn her spot

Clague sixth grader Angela Shao captured a second place in the U.S. Figure Skating 2021-2022 National Championship Series in Alpharetta, Georgia recently, which qualifies her for the National Figure Skating Development Team— juvenile level.

Angela is a member of the Hockettes Synchronized Skating Team and skates at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.

Her parents, Wenhua and Yan, thanked Clague Middle School and AAPS administration for supporting her and allowing the flexible schedule of her classes to accommodate training.
