‘An Evening of Music’ spotlights AAPS music teachers May 1

Many AAPS music teachers are seasoned performers and share their passion for performing with students daily.

For the first time, they are coming together in a showcase for the community.

Your attendance and generosity are requested for “An Evening of Music” with the music teachers of the Ann Arbor Schools at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1 in the Forsythe Auditorium at 1655 Newport Road.

The evening will range from classical to folk to Broadway and jazz. It will feature AAPS music teachers Abby Alwin, Carolyn Bybee, Joe DeMarsh, Doug Horn, Cary Kocher, Kelly Krohn, Jack Wagner, and Tiffanie Waldron.

The suggested donation is $10 ($5 for students) and benefits The Cooperative Outreach Music Program (COMP), a longtime partnership that underwrites the cost of private music instruction to promising students of limited means.Screenshot 2015-04-24 08.37.33
