Congratulations to the AAPS student artists for earning honors in the Michigan Art Education Association’s 2025 State Art Show which gave them the chance to showcase outstanding artwork produced by students from all over Michigan.
AAPS art teachers submitted artwork to the elementary, middle, and secondary levels of our regional juried show. Many works from our district were chosen to go to state level adjudication. From there, works were chosen to be in the Top 100 and Top 18 for the state in each level and those will be in an exhibition at the Hickman Gallery at Adrian College from March 17th to April 4th, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Artworks from AAPS were also chosen for a special show that hangs at the Michigan Department of Education.
“Thanks to the creativity of our students, this show also serves as a reminder of how essential the arts are to public education,” said AAPS Fine Arts and Special Programs Coordinator Kimberly Coulson-Mobley, noting that the DOE show is available for viewing by appointment only.
Coulson-Mobley applauds the artistic talents of AAPS students and teachers.
“Thanks to the student artists for representing our district with their creativity and art making skills,” she said. “And thanks to the many art teachers who facilitate students’ artistic growth every day.”
