AAPS relay teams shine at state finals with record-setting 4×800 performances

Ann Arbor Public Schools student athletes delivered standout performances at the MHSAA Division 1 State Track & Field Finals at Rockford on Saturday, May 30.

One of the most exciting highlights came in the 4×800 relays, where AAPS schools dominated both races:

In the boys 4×800, Pioneer claimed the state title with the 3rd-fastest time in Division 1 state history, while Skyline took runner-up honors with the 5th-fastest time ever and an impressive new school record—shattering their previous mark by 8 seconds.

In the girls 4×800, Skyline raced to a state championship and a new school record, with Pioneer finishing a strong second.

Congratulations to these outstanding relay teams:

Skyline Boys: Adam Repp, Hudson Doll, Oskar MacArthur, Kyle Krasan

Pioneer Boys: Quinn Davis, Theo Sacks Thomas, Beckett Crooks, Kamari Ronfeldt

Skyline Girls: Irie Scrase, Lucia Llanes, Isla Tharp, Becca van Lent
