The public is invited to hear students play music of the masters when the AAPS Music Department presents Orchestra Night Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at Hill Auditorium.
This gala concert showcases the orchestras of all Ann Arbor middle schools plus Skyline, Huron, and Pioneer high schools playing music in U-M’s Hill Auditorium.
More than 1000 students perform in this annual event featuring the orchestras of the Ann Arbor Public Schools.

Our high school symphony orchestras perform the same editions of major works as professional orchestras. The Skyline HS Symphony Orchestra will perform the final movement of Dvorak’s New World Symphony; the Pioneer Symphony Orchestra has programmed the final movement of Johannes Brahms’ Fourth Symphony with David Barg guest conducting, and the Huron Symphony Orchestra will play George Gershwin’s American in Paris.
Daniel Long, guest clinician at Tappan and Clague middle schools, will also be directing the students.
