Fourth graders learn to empathize and understand at Disability Awareness Workshop

The Center for Independent Living in Ann Arbor sponsors Disability Awareness Workshops for fourth graders in AAPS each year. ย With the help of volunteers from both the CIL and AAPS, the students learn first-hand about challenges by visiting stations that include the Adaptations & Prosthetics & Wheelchair Station; the Learning Disabilities Station; and the Walkers & Mats & Boots Station.

This morning it was Burns Park Elementary’s turn for the annual workshop. See the video here:
