Two minutes at: Bach Elementary

Video by Jo Mathis/AAPS District News

Join us for a two-minute tour of Bach Elementary as part of our continuing series highlighting each school throughout the district.

The school’s website tells the story: Bach Elementary School is located near the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan in the Old West Side. Just like our city, Bach is a diverse, close-knit community with a focus on learning and growing together.

In 1898, Bach Elementary was named after Philip Bach, former Ann Arbor mayor and member of the school board for 34 years. The school originally opened in 1861 as the Second Ward School. Since then, it has gone through multiple additions while still maintaining historical aspects of the original building.

Each month, the school holds meetings where students learn what it means to be our Bach BESTBe Yourself, Everyone is Welcome, Say Something, and Take Care of Others.

We take pride in Bach and each of our school communities!

Go, Bengals!
