With a charming and lyrical score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and based on the beloved 1837 book by Hans Christian Andersen, this show highlights the deepest of conflicts: the relationship between a father and daughter who have fundamental disagreements about life, despite their love for each other.

Based on the iconic Disney movie, the musical premiered on Broadway in 2007, ran for several years and was revamped and produced at Paper Mill Playhouse in 2013 to glowing reviews.

The director is Alex Prakken; co-director and choreographer, Emma Sohlberg; music director, Barrett Riggins; assistant director, Matthew Kunkel; assistant choreographer, Aline Mayagolita; and orchestra director, Tyler Driskill.

The play is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney Film produced by Howard Ashman and John Musker, which was written and directed by John Musker and Ron Clements.

All performances will be held in Pioneer’s Schreiber Auditorium.
