Logan Elementary celebrates groundbreaking for new facility

Logan Elementary School hosted ceremonial groundbreaking activities on Monday to mark the beginning of construction for its new facility. The current school, located at 2685 Traverse Boulevard, will be relocated to a new site adjacent to nearby Clague Middle School.

Throughout the day, classes took commemorative photos with shovels and sand, symbolizing the start of this exciting new chapter for the school community. Students viewed a video presentation showcasing the design and features of the future building. An afternoon assembly included speeches by dignitaries and Lego giveaways for students to commemorate the occasion.

The new Logan Elementary School project is funded through the 2019 Ann Arbor Public Schools bond that voters approved to improve school facilities across the district. Construction is expected to take approximately two years to complete.
