Dicken Elementary breaks ground on new school

Students, staff, and community members gathered at Dicken Elementary on Friday for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on a new building that will serve Ann Arbor Public Schools for generations to come.

The ceremony was held on the school grounds at 2135 Runnymede, and marked the official start of construction on the new school adjacent to the existing site.

The project, funded through the voter-approved 2019 Ann Arbor Public Schools bond and sinking fund, represents the community’s investment in educational excellence.
