High school students looking for a fun, resume-building experience this summer should check out Rec&Ed’s High School Volunteer Program.

The program is designed for students entering grades 10-12 from any AAPS high school, and there are a limited number of opportunities for mature, responsible upcoming 9th graders.  Students gain leadership and communication skills, fill volunteer requirements, contribute to the community and have a lot of fun. Last year, over 100 high school students volunteered at a wide variety of summer camps such as sports camps, Safety Town, art and science camps, and more. Flexible schedules are available.

Applications are available through the Rec&Ed website or in high school counselor’s offices and are due by May 24.
