Services scheduled this weekend for the Supica family

A memorial is scheduled for this weekend for two members of the Supica family of Ann Arbor who were killed in a June 21 traffic crash in Virginia.

Services for Theresa Supica and her 12-year-old daughter, Samantha, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 2065 S. Wagner Road. The family will receive visitors the same day starting at 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial.

Two other teenage daughters were injured in the crash. The family is a member of the Lawton Elementary, Slauson Middle School and Pioneer High School communities.

According to news reports, the family was traveling to Virginia Beach for the USA Field Hockey’s 2010 National Futures Championship competition when the crash occurred.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Supica Family Benefit Trust, c/o TCF Bank, 1900 Pauline Blvd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103 or at any TCF Bank location.
