Scarlett Middle School 8th graders learn job interview skills on Portfolio Day

A job interview can be an intimidating process for anyone, but young people looking to get their first job have the added challenge of not knowing what to expect.  That won’t be the case for Scarlett Middle School students that participated in the 24th annual Portfolio Day.  More than 80 people that work at a wide variety of Ann Arbor area businesses and organizations came to Scarlett Middle School and gave the students the chance to do practice interviews with someone currently working in a field that interests them.  Prior to the interviews, students prepared portfolios of their work and resumes to share with the volunteers.
