Pittsfield Elementary students marched throughout the school Friday, singing “We Shall Overcome” and carrying signs they had made promoting the ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr.

AAPS schools and offices will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday,  and families are encouraged to participate in the many community events in honor of the civil rights leader.
