These are a few of the questions that have been asked this week of the Ann Arbor Public Schools’ new Back to School Helpline.
By calling 734-660-9911 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every weekday, parents can talk with an AAPS staffer eager to answer any questions about back-to-school details.
Parents can also email their questions to backtoschool@a2schools.org.
Office professional Rhonda Goodman handles calls from her office in central administration, and says parents appreciate the way they can quickly connect with someone who can settle their concerns.
“Most calls were positive and parents over all were very pleased to hear that the registration process will be simplified with the ability to complete forms online,” said Goodman, referring to the new InfoSnap online registration system.
Superintendent Jeanice Swift says the new helpline is another example of the district anticipating the needs of parents in a streamlined, efficient manner.
