Rec & Ed gets new home at Pioneer

Community Education and Recreation will move this week to a new location in the “E” Wing of Pioneer High School. Offices open there on Feb. 2

Ann Arbor Public Schools Preschool and Family Center has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Interim Principal Michelle Pogliano said the accreditation “shows that the center meets high standards the district has set for early childhood education.”

Rec & Ed moving to new wing at Pioneer campus

The Ann Arbor Community Education & Recreation Department will move this month to a new location in the “E” Wing of Pioneer High School. They will begin conducting business at the new location on Feb. 2.

Tuesday is the last of four scheduled budget meetings sponsored by The Ann Arbor Public Schools to gather ideas and suggestions about the upcoming budget. The district faces a $21 million deficit heading into the 2010-11 fiscal year.

Bach Elementary School music teacher Kristi Bishop recently returned from a trip to mainland China, where she traveled with a delegation of 51 educators from around the country. “We were given such an opportunity,” she said.
