Huron’s Business Professionals of America Earns 31 State Awards

Huron’s Business Professionals of America Chapter traveled to Grand Rapids from March 20 to 23 for the 2014 BPA State Conference.

Advisors Diane Stocker-Bendersky, Christy Garrett, Scott Hunter, Karen Eisley, Ronald Flowers, Lauretta Flowers and Jacqueline Gibson took 64 members of the BPA from Huron.

Huron’s Chapter took home a total of 31 awards. They received four 1st place awards, six 2nd place awards, four 4th place awards, two 5th place awards, four 6th place awards, and two 7th place awards.

Additionally, eight members received the Statesmen Torch Award, which includes several hours of community service performed in our community. They will be traveling to the National Leadership Conference in May. Huron’s BPA students continue to succeed with the support of the Ann Arbor Kiwanis Foundation.
