Huron graduate earns scholarship

Gabriela Columna earned a $1,000 scholarship to attend the University of Michigan.
The scholarship is funded by generous donations from Am-Can Financial (co-founder Ray Digby), Thrivent Financial Planner David Granner, Menlo Innovations founder Richard Sheridan, Bank of Ann Arbor’s vice president Hans Maier, and Boulevard Health Care CEO Judith Dabertin. Any Huron High School student who has completed at least one year of German in high school is eligible to apply.

The scholarship was founded by these leaders from the business community in recognition of the importance of German in the globalized fields of engineering, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other business fields. More information
