Huron BPA Chapter dominates at the BPA Regional Leadership Competition

More than 80 members of Huron’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter, led by advisors Christy Garrett, Jonathan Cook, Allison Andres, Melissa Gordon and Karen Eisley, traveled to Dearborn last week  to compete in the B PA Regional Leadership Conference.

The team accomplished great things, qualifying many students for the State Leadership Conference in March.

The Huron BPA chapter took home a total of 82 awards among 82 members, which included 21 1st place awards, 16 2nd place awards, 12 3rd place awards, 10 4th place awards, 13 5th place awards, and 10 6th place awards. Sixty-eight students qualified for the upcoming State Leadership Conference. Huron’s chapter took first place in  37 percent of all possible events, and 42 percent of the events they actually competed in. All of this was accomplished in one of the biggest and most competitive regions in Michigan.

Special thanks to the Huron BPA officers and advisors for making this conference a very successful one. Congratulations to all those who competed at regionals!
