Forsythe’s Thinking Cap Clubs soar in national competition

The sixth grade Thinking Cap Club finished third out of 100 teams in the country.

The  7th/8th grade team from Forsythe Middle School finished in the top 10 percent in the recent Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl, a national academic competition that tests teams’ ability to answer questions accurately and quickly.

Coached by science teacher Dan Ezekiel, the team took ninth place out of 109 teams across the country. The questions were in all the academic areas, including music, art, and sports,  and at all levels of difficulty.

Not to be outdone, the team of 22 Forsythe 6th graders finished third out of 100 teams in the Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl America Answers competition.  The team scored 1215 out of a possible 1500 points.

Forsythe’s Thinking Cap Club is a middle school club that is open to all students.

    Whoa! Young people are our future. Congratulations to them for their hard work and to their parents for their support and encouragement.
