WITH SLIDE SHOW: The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop has made a substantial donation to the AAPS Educational Foundation’s One Million Reasons campaign. It is the largest gift received in the campaign which ends July 31.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools has scheduled a gathering for Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Slauson Middle School following the deaths of two members of the Supica family and the injury of two others in a Virginia traffic crash this week.

“There’s a lot to learn from growing a garden, and a lot of Ann Arbor’s schools are finding that out,” says Ann Arbor Chronicle gardening columnist Marianne Rzepka. Her Sunday column focuses on three such gardens in Ann Arbor schools.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools has reached a tentative agreement with its teachers union. Members will vote late this week and, if ratified, the pact would go to the school board next week.
