Bach School Knowledge Master Open takes first place

A team of 19 Bach Elementary fourth and fifth graders placed first of eight Michigan teams in the Knowledge Master Open Competition on March 19.

The K.M.O. is a team academic contest that tests students’ ability to answer questions about all school subjects. The Bach K.M.O. team scored 642 out of a possible 1000 points.  The mean nationwide was 534. Nationally, Bach placed in the top 19% of all teams.

Burns Park and Pattengill also participated in the March K.M.O.

The members of the Bach K.M.O. team were: fourth graders Molly O’Connor, Jonah Nunez, and Kenji Wagner; and fifth graders Alex Easter, Noah Weiner, Pranav Suresh, Carter Phillips, Keith Kozma, Victor Oswald, Jeffrey Brooks-Conrad, Sonja Mittlestat, Robert Malcolm Jr., Jackson Roberts, Charlie Anderson, John Allen Sam Ciesielski, Zain Smith, Kelman Wolfkostin, and Audrey Huizenga.
