Students in Cindy Johengen’s and Ryan Bruder’s fourth grade classes at Allen Elementary were inspired by Disability Awareness Day to make some improvements at the school.
Every year AAPS holds Disability Awareness Day workshops, which help students better understand the day-to-day struggles of those living with disabilities.
The students repainted the handicap parking spots in the parking lot. Mrs. Johengen supplied photos of the students at work:
