Adult Education and ESL Classes registering now

The A2 Tech graduation ceremony at Washtenaw Community College June 4, 2012. The ceremony includes students in the Adult Education Program who have earned their GED.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools offers GED and ESL courses, and registration is going on now. UPDATE 8/27: ESL classes are now full and closed.

For GED classes: Registration is available every Monday starting Aug. 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Ann Arbor Technical High School, located at 2800 Stone School Road. Classes begin Sept. 10. Evening classes are available at the high school from 6-9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and daytime classes are offered at Mallets Creek Library 1-4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

For ESL classes: Registration is taking place this week (until Aug. 24). 105 spaces are available for the free classes. Those wishing to participate must bring a passport or social security card or a green card to their registration meeting. They do not need to live within the Ann Arbor Public School district.
