AAPS celebrates black history throughout the year

The Ann Arbor Public Schools celebrated Black History Month in February with a wide variety of special events and lessons. The district however incorporates black history into the curriculum of all subjects throughout the year.

To highlight this work to include the history of all individuals in social studies, English, world languages, math, science, and other classes year round and particularly during Black History Month, teachers and curriculum leaders created this video.
