Huron junior Aidan Davis says he was just doing what he was trained as a Boy Scout to do: To help other people at all times.
Last spring he took action in the hallway when a student had a seizure while others were walking by and not knowing what to do. Using his Boy Scout training, he did what he could to help her until a school nurse arrived and took over the care of the student.
As a result of his actions, Aidan received the Boy Scouts of America’s national Medal of Merit and National Certificate of Merit on May 18 at Albion College.
Huron Principal Janet Schwamb says she’s very proud of Aidan.
“We all appreciate Adain’s quick response to an emergency with another student,” she said. “Aidan’s response was kind and caring.”
